Winter Solstice. The darkest, longest night of the year. It sounds scary and intimidating, but a dark night is indeed very necessary.
We've just come out of the Fall harvest season.
We've been busy working and toiling away at our crops. Some crops flourished, others withered and died. We’ve harvested and picked the fruits of our labor. Painstakingly, we store the bounty in a silo to sustain and nurture us until the Sun returns.
Today, here we are with Winter upon us. It greets us with an icy blast. We brace ourselves, for we are weary from our efforts and labors. Our minds are filled with worry, as we wonder if we will have enough to last us until the light of Spring. There is a lot of unknowns. We trust, hope and pray that we are prepared.
In 2018 we have experienced loads of energy shifts! Twists, turns, changes, surprises and endings... ALL have led up to this day.
Many of us feel lost and without direction. We don't know which way to turn. We are needing to find our True North again. The True North that sets us on our path and heading in the right direction. Any survivalist knows to align with the True North Star, as a means to find their bearings and find their way home.
Well guess what?
The True North star is called Polaris and it is NOT the brightest star in the sky! If we are looking for it in the light of day, it's very hard to find.
To find the True North Star (Polaris), it's easiest to view it in the darkest of nights. Therefore, we need the dark night. Something that seems so hopeless, bears a gift! That gift is alignment, clarity and direction. It illuminates the way home!
The Polaris star has a strong magnetic field around it; so does the human heart.
In the dark night of the Soul, we turn our heart to the North Star. We allow the magnetic pull of polarities to communicate, and once again it steers us in the right direction.
Our hope is renewed!
The North Star aligns to our heart and whispers, “We still have a journey and it will be cold. I will show you the way and lead you into the direction of the morning light."
Enjoy the Solstice. Release to it all that you have “lost”. Trust and know that it will lead the way, ground you and point you towards home.
